Administration

  • Added a wizard to create a unique Admin User account on first access after GoAnywhere MFT is licensed. The administrator and root accounts are disabled by default on new installs.
  • Added the ability to specify a default date range for audit logs in the Global Settings page. By default, all audit logs return 7 days of data.
  • Added max length validation when configuring SMS country code in the Global Settings.
  • Enhanced the admin audit log to include changes made to SMS country codes in Global Settings.
  • Enhanced the style of the multi select checkbox and spinner input fields to be more modern.

Web Client

  • Added support for a right-click context menu when multiple rows are selected in the Web Client.
  • Enhanced the Web Client Brands configuration to no longer require a restart of the HTTPS service for the changes to take effect.
  • Enhanced the navigation folder tree menu to better support thousands of folders. A new 'Show More...' option appears in the side navigation when the selected directory contains more than 50 folders.
  • Enhanced the layout of the Secure Mail send dialog to better handle new options including phone numbers for sending passwords in SMS text messages.
  • Enhanced the Secure Folders feature to prohibit Web Users from sharing subfolders and files from a parent directory that is already shared.
  • Organized the Web Client's dashboard quick links to match the order of the tree view navigation.
  • Translated the GoDrive Home directory for international languages in the Web Client.
  • Improved performance of the left navigation menu in the Web Client by avoiding duplicate directory listings when possible.

  • Fixed an issue where the Secure Mail attachment count could be incorrect when files were attached from multiple sources, such as GoDrive and Secure Folders.
  • Fixed an issue where the Package Manager fails to delete a package when it is stored in directory accessed through an SMB Network Share.
  • Fixed some layout and styling issues with the Secure Mail Compose page.
  • Fixed an issue where the default password configured for Secure Mail packages would fail to be used in certain scenarios.
  • Fixed an issue where sending a Secure Mail package would display an empty options dialog when Secure Mail is configured to only allow URL protected packages and not allow replies.
  • Fixed an issue where uploading an attachment on the Secure Mail compose page would fail if the user clicked the Send button too quickly. This issue was introduced in 6.0.0.
  • Fixed an issue where uploading an attachment to a Secure Form using the REST API could fail due to user name case sensitivity.
  • Fixed an issue where output text on a Secure Form was not properly wrapping in all cases.
  • Fixed an issue where sharing a file in GoDrive could fail if GoAnywhere is using SQL Server as the back-end database.
  • Fixed an issue with the Web Client where drag and drop was not working properly on a multi-page file listing.
  • Fixed an issue where sharing a GoDrive item to an email address that is configured on more than one Web User with GoDrive access would cause a leak in database connections.
  • Fixed an issue in the Web Client where clicking Logout had to be done twice before being logged out.
  • Fixed an issue where a SAML authenticated session was unable to access a protected Secure Form.

Agents

  • Added SOAP, REST, CreateJWT, Base64Encode and Base64Decode tasks to Agents.
  • Added Amazon S3, WebDAV, Azure Blob Storage, and SMB Network Share resource support to the file chooser dialog when configuring projects on Agents or Agent Groups.
  • Enhanced the Agent connection process to better handle situations where a disconnected Agent cannot reconnect because the previous session is still authenticated. The server will now properly detect when the previous connection has been dropped and allow the new connection to authenticate.
  • Enhanced the Linux Agent installer to allow users to specify a path to the server certificate.
  • Enhanced the Agent installer to allow users to add restrictions for new tasks and resource file locations.
  • Updated the Agent messenger service to have a timeout of 60 seconds when receiving an acknowledgment from the server. This resolves an issue where a file being uploaded can become locked if the network connection drops during a very specific point in the transfer.
  • Fixed an issue on the Software Library page where the Agent Installer context menu improperly wrapped the Configure Installer action to two lines.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Agents from updating the Last Executed On field in the project execution history.

Project Workflows

  • Added the ability to configure the enabled SSL/TLS protocol versions on the Mail Boxes resource and Retrieve Email task.
  • Enhanced the ICAP resource and task to better handle improperly folded headers.
  • Enhanced the Cloud Connector marketplace to display all Cloud Connectors, even if they are not supported for the version of the installed copy of GoAnywhere MFT. Customers will not have the option to install a connector that is not supported in their version of GoAnywhere.
  • Updated the loading of Cloud Connector definitions to use UTF-8 to better support non-ascii characters.
  • Fixed an issue where the Monitor Status Code in REST tasks ignores the log level setting specified on a parent task.
  • Fixed an issue where the active system worker would try to update the active system table too aggressively when the database is no longer accessible.
  • Fixed an issue where the Merge Reports task was not properly closing the input stream which prevented the source files from being deleted on certain operating systems.

GoAnywhere Outlook Plugin

Version 2.4.1
  • Removed the installer dependency on the .NET 3.5 framework.
  • Fixed a minor spacing issue on the Request Files dialog.

BRMS

Enhancements

In version 7.2 and later:

  • The BRM log information has been enhanced to use the system timestamp to preserve message order when messages logged at the same second are displayed using DSPLOGBRM.
  • BRMS has been enhanced to support the new 3592-60F tape drive with new *FMT3592A6 and FMT3592A6E densities.
  • BRMS has enhanced the cloud turnkey solution to allow customers to create their own disaster recovery turnkey control groups.
  • BRMS has enhanced the green screen to change the previously GUI only control group attributes for TCP/IP servers, to unmount user-defined file systems, and run maintenance after backup.
  • BRMS now creates an *OBJ list named QALLSPLF to backup all spooled files.
  • SAVLIBBRM command default for Journaled objects has been changed to OBJJRN(*YES).

Enhancements
  • The Object Table view was enhanced to support a user navigating among table cells using the keyboard alone, with less reliance on a mouse device. The keyboard arrow keys can now be used to select which table cell has the current focus in the table. The space key will change the table cell with current focus to editing mode if that column is eligible for changing. Table cells in the Option column will automatically change to editing mode when given focus.

  • Code Coverage results now can be exported to PDF.

  • RFE to set the editor coloring of ON-EXIT opcode in RPGLE source to match that of other flow-control opcodes.

  • In ILE RPG, SQL auto-format text beyond 80 characters.

  • SE69609 RDI 9.6.0.3 fixes issue prompting a PARM statement in CMD source may give error, 'PROMPT TEXT NOT ALLOWED'.
  • SE69162 RDI 9.6.0 Column heading titles are now shown when doing edit on an IBM i table from the data development perspective.
  • In ILE RPG, Enter on SQL statements did not split a line like when on RPG statements. It split the text to the next row at the same cursor position and does not indent. This is fixed.

New Feature
  • From this release it will be possible to work with your highlighted events, threats and incidents or search for events in Event Manager pages and export the result into your favorite format (pdf, csv, word, xls). Additionally, it will be possible to schedule the reports that are needed to help provide security regulation compliance.
  • Event fields 'AddInfo_1' and 'AddInfo_2' are now included in the notification event as these fields are sometimes needed to perform the proper notification.
  • It is now possible to self-monitor dozens of metrics in the application itself, covering CPU, Memory, processes running, disk capacity and performance and much more.
Enhancement
  • Error messages in ThinkServer Configurator are now shown in the same color as the Monitoring Error icons, instead of using the Critical color. Debug and trace messages from monitors that were sent as "Unknown" are now shown as "Report". Report messages in Orchestrator are no longer shown as "Success" messages.
  • An asset type can now display if it has an 'out of the box' template applied when it is selected.
  • Suse can now be selected as a Linux model when selecting a type of Linux.

  • [CAS-0010078124] The Event Control Service (ECS) can now recover from a "Communication Link Failure" error without needing to re-start the service.
  • A new product home page has been created with the brand new HelpSystems design and a link to Powertech Security Auditor to increase Powertech Suite product integration.
  • The Maintenance process for SmartConsole and PMDB now includes some improvements for Indexes and Database performance.
  • A ten-fold performance improvement has been made to Windows Event log collection technology so that more than 1000 Windows Servers can be supported by the monitoring node.
  • All 'out-of-the-box' templates based on Database collector, Log Reader collector or Syslog collector have had a ten-fold performance improvement in Memory and CPU usage.
Other Fix
  • [CAS-0010088987] The SQL query used to perform free-format text search on the events database was not returning results quickly enough. This query has been improved so that it performs much faster.
  • A fix has been applied to manage memory under heavy event load and slow database insert conditions.
  • A fix has been applied so that when enabling/disabling the Security monitoring in some assets and then enabling/disabling a Business Process, the action is no longer audited twice.
  • The issue where new events were no longer received, caused by changing the DataSource for a Syslog Monitor, has been fixed.
  • A fix has been applied so that Database server downtime is now supported and data is calculated and updated as expected.
  • Product audit events are no longer saved in the database with wrong TimeGenerated values. Furthermore, the "HelpSystems" value has been added as a valid Platform value in the Web client. This provides the ability to be able to create categorization rules for these type of audit events.
  • A fix has been applied so that User Directory Service no longer stops working in some computers.

  • [CAS-0010122100] Security reports with hidden columns no longer fail during the generation process.
  • When using a search box filter, controlled events counters are no longer displayed.

  • A fix has been applied so that OBS Activity Limit rules no longer assign a SUCCESS heath before the full interval checking interval has been completed.
  • File ns.ini, needed to use the translation table in Nicelink, was installed in the wrong directory. This has been resolved.
  • Vityl IT and Business Monitoring has had a fix applied to allow the importing of two or more load balancer cluster devices in order that their health status information is correctly displayed.
  • [CAS-0010108953] - A Web error that appeared when entering an asset that had elements created with a specific template, but the template was then later removed, has been resolved.
  • Manually creating a Business View Link from SmartConsole to Business Views, normally created automatically by Vityl IT and Business Monitoring, now results in future monitor changes being applied as expected to the asset to which the Business Views belong.
  • [CAS-0010125876] A timeout has been added to frequently called database tasks to avoid potential product locks.
  • A fix has been applied so that the Windows HelpSystems - PMDB service no longer crashes if the database server was down for a period of time.
  • A fix has been applied in this version to ensure that from a clean install, all Indexes are installed correctly.
