Viewpoint

Version: 11.17.355

Updates:

  • Dashboards without any Sequel objects, for instance having only Action Buttons, open empty.
  • Gauges do not appear on a dashboard that also includes a website.
Version: 11.17.348

Updates:

  • View Designer and View Builder in Repository mode will list the datasources rather than SEQUELHOST entries for server connections. Dependent on host version M09.
  • The View Designer with SERVER(*LOCALSYS) and SYNTAX(*SERVER) was erroneously removing field to field comparisons on the WHERE clause like custmast.CSTTE<>custmast.DFTWH.
  • View Designer was erroneously removing the DATE function from GROUP BY views when the derived field using MONTH, YEAR or other date function was also used on the GROUP BY clause using *LOCALSYS *SERVER.
  • Views using Common Table Expressions did not run from repository mode.
  • Shortcut created to email a Client Table or Client Report as Excel sent file with .txt file extension.
  • Save existing CRO to repository with a different name modifies the current *USRSPC.

  • From Administrator, the creation of host entries will copy Driver and Connection strings from corresponding type template.
  • From the properties of a host report, adding a jpg image to a pdf overlay gave error Run-time error '35600': Index out of bounds".
  • When using Viewpoint to run a view with email recipient and specifying CSV format, some view names generate an email attachment with .txt suffix rather than .csv, so the file does not open in Excel.
  • When emailing from Viewpoint, if the attachment file name was less than 12 characters the file was created in tmp and then cleaned up. Otherwise, file went to the home directory or to root and remained. Now all files will be created in tmp and cleaned up.
  • The Google Map Wizard has been removed.
  • Changes were made to enable Viewpoint to offer better support of Advanced Database Security when libraries and files reside on an independent auxiliary storage pool (iAsp).

Version: 9.1.0.12
Client Patch
  • Error when connecting to Query using the 9.1.0.11 patch with JDE World A 9.3 when an invalid Environment is selected.
  • Issue resolved when saving query results to Text-Unicode the BOM marker was missing.

  • The following patch updates are also included:

    9.1.0.11 Client Patch (March 22, 2016)

    • Issue resolved where query client crashed when results were saved to Excel 4.0 if there were zero rows.
    • Unicode Byte Order Marker (BOM) now included when saving results to CSV-Unicode format, ensuring proper translation of double-byte character sets when opening in Excel.

    9.1.0.10 Client Patch (August 5, 2015)

    • The default JDE Environment is always the last one in the list presented to EnterpriseOne users in Query. It has been changed to default to the most recent Environment selected.
    • The Query client timeout value set in Warehouse Manager (Resource Settings) now works for times more than 59 minutes.

    9.1.0.9 Client Patch (January 6, 2015)

    • Showcase Addin for Excel:
      • Using VBA scripts to refresh queries failed after upgrading Client to 9.1.0.7 or 9.1.0.8.
      • Using the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V to copy and paste data from a query to Excel, generated an error similar to “Showcase Query The item, Data.R1C1:R3C1637348, does not match the Query application.”

    9.1.0.8 Client Patch (November 19, 2014)

    • When editing the SQL of a Warehouse Builder Definition, the user selects Source\Query Editor and making valid changes to the SQL, clicking OK gives ‘X Encountered an improper argument’.
    • Queries with SQLServer data source are crashing or locking up Showcase Query client when the DBQ was created in a version of Showcase prior to version 8.0 (missing database owner name, which was not required in older versions), or if the Collection/Database name have changed (i.e. from lower case to mixed case).
    • Users open and run multiple queries against JDE data at a time. If they open and run a query, then immediately open another one, they get an error similar to ‘Column <”GLDCT01”> is not found in table’ specifying a UDC column.
    • Java Heap memory error when saving Query results to Excel 8.0 or 12.0 when the result set is very large (in excess of 300,000 rows and 160 columns). This requires setting the Java heap size on the client.

    9.1.0.7 Client Patch (July 16, 2014)

    • Support added for SQL Server 2012. See the document, SQL Server Fix for Showcase 9.3 for details.

    9.1.0.6 Client Patch (June 17, 2014)

    • Support for Roles added to JD Edwards World A9.3 (requires 9.2.0.1 Server Patch).
    • Query title is truncated to 31 characters when printing. Introduced in 9.1.

    9.1.0.5 Client Patch (April 16, 2014)

    • One Showcase registry key value refers to IBM – corrected to remove that name.
    • On Windows7 64-bit PC’s, after printing to XPS or PDF output, Excel may hang when adding Showcase Query references.
    • Date format was incorrect when saving Query results to XLSX.

    9.1.0.4 Client Patch (February 11, 2014)

    • JDE OneWorld or EnterpriseOne environments using Showcase with non-iSeries JDE profiles had batch jobs fail with SQL error, ‘Column “ XXXXXX” not in specified tables’.
    • The Warehouse Builder SET fails with a non DB2 datasource (SQL Server) with error, “An error was returned from the SQL CLI procedure SQLConnect. The SQL state is: HY000. The native error code is: 0. The message text is Unknown error attempting to access server SCVD02:43419: null..”
    • Enterprise Server log shows passwords in plain text
    • On Windows7 64-bit the File \ Send Mail option is missing from Query. The code was rewritten so that both Query and Report Writer will check for the presence of MAPI configuration in the Windows registry. If it can’t find that, it looks in the win.ini for MAPI settings. Finding either of these will cause the Send Mail option to be displayed.
    • Support for Windows 8.1 added.

    9.1.0.3 Client Patch (December 17, 2013)

    • In version 9.1, every time a BATCHQUERY job is run, a QPRINT output file, with “Error opening debug file” in the text, gets created.
    • Pass the IP address for submitted jobs to the Showcase exit point program.
    • Batch query fails with an error similar to ‘The batch job failed due to a SQL error’. This same query will run fine interactively. The QSQSRVR job log attached shows an error, “Library not found.”

    9.1.0.2 Client Patch (November 18, 2013)

    • Windows 8 Support.
    • Passwords in the scserver.log file will be encrypted.

    9.1.0.1 Client Patch (August 19, 2013)

    • Improved query performance when running the same query simultaneously over large files (million plus records).
    • Saving query results to Excel with more than one million rows gives error: Excel found unreadable content in ‘file1.xlsx’.
    • DBQs created in 9.0.0.3 for SQLServer datasource which were created without OWNER name, now do not open in 9.1.0.0.
    • Report Writer doesn’t display the number of Most Recently Used (MRU) files that is configured in the Tools \ Options settings. It will not display any more than 4 previously open files regardless of what is configured for the number of files to display.
    • Removed nuisance message when creating Data Views (Server patch 9.1.0.1 required).

Tango/04

Version: 5.0.4.30000

Fixes

  • 2-61901561 - Users and/or User Groups from some Trusted Domains were unavailable when configuring security permissions in some of the Alignia products. Trusted Domains that took too long to return information through LDAP queries (because of slow LDAP response time, or a large amount of information in the requested groups or users), were internally signaled as non-available. This caused groups and users from those trusted domains to be unavailable. This issue has been resolved.
  • 2-64543741 - A fix has been applied so that the alerts monitor no longer triggers a high activity threshold if one has not been defined.
  • 2-63680561 - A fix has been applied so that PMDB database queries work as expected.
  • The Filters in Online Business Services analysis page are not contextualized and all the Consumers, Channels and Functions appear even if they were not part of the selected service.
  • The external URLs configured form Online Business Services and linking to Visual Message Center Dashboards with the viewer enabled are not working properly. The URL was not properly decoded. This issue has been resolved.
  • 2-64174391 - A fix has been applied to remove a missing dependencies message that sometimes appeared when editing dependencies of Connectivity Groups.
  • 2-65193491 - CAS-127291-M1H6P5 - A fix has been applied so that rapid use of the controls on an HTML report no longer causes an error message to be displayed. Additionally, a fix has also been applied to ensure compatibility with the installed version of .NET framework and the HTML view.
  • CAS-0010063402 - When the user resets the filters of the devices/applications grid in Orchestrator Web, the filter control appears to be broken. The issue has been fixed and the filter control appears as working once a reset has been completed.
  • 2-65060732 - The issue that would cause Linux monitors to fail when recollecting information on some Linux systems has been fixed.
  • The "Reset Business Process Today" was not working properly.. The process was not Stopped/Started after resetting the business process and its status was not being refreshed. This issue has been resolved.
  • CAS-0010062525 - Python errors in ASP Usage and ASP Availability monitors have been fixed.
  • In some cases, the Orchestrator Service would not load and the message; "Exception in IniServerManager Details: Error at StartUp: Not all the assets exist." was shown in the log.. This problem could occur when a Business Process was corrupted in the Database, preventing the full Orchestrator Service to start. This issue has been resolved.
  • Performance has been improved when writing PMDB data from ThinkServer monitors to PMDB service using several threads and Soap connections. In previous versions, only one thread and SOAP connection was used to write data from ThinkServer to PMDB. This could produce errors in the monitors and delay the processing of PMDB data.
  • CAS-0010065914 - WebClient keeps in loading screen, with high load times. The issue has been fixed and the load times are within acceptable limits.
  • CAS-0010063597 - ThinkServer Monitors not created by Alignia templates are not shown in the list of monitors when a Device is selected (CAS-0010063597). In latest Alignia versions only templated monitors from ThinkServer were shown when a Device is selected in Alignia Business Applications while the non-templated ThinkServer monitors were not displayed in the list of monitors. This issue has been resolved.
  • CAS-0010065954 - The line breaks and dots were not being taken into account in the validation of the "Incremental field" and "Subaction filter field". This was resolved by adding the "," and "/n" to the split in order to validate the "Incremental field" and "Subaction filter field".
  • PMDB now finishes processing if its activation queue is completely full, in order to avoid a hanging query that then deadlocks the process.
  • CAS-0010067588 - 3rd party integrations collectors return an error saying: "Error: dictionary changed size during iteration" and data is lost. The cache was not being updated properly and there was a lock while trying to iterate while reading. This issue has been resolved.
  • ThinkServer Manager didn't start, in random situations, creating a dump file while it was processing the IntegrityAgent.dll file. The problem was due to an error in T4BDLL producing a stack overflow. The only workaround was to avoid the load of the IntegrityAgent.dll agents editing the l2processconfig.cfg.. A stack overflow was produced in some situations. The code has been amended to prevent these situations.
  • When deactivating an asset in Orchestrator and ThinkServer starts deleting monitors, the deletion rate is very slow. . The deletion rate of monitors in ThinkServer, when a lot of monitors are deleted, has been improved. The change has also improved the creation of monitors.
  • In some situations, monitoring the EventLog of remote Windows systems found that the EventLog L2Launcher stoped working, creating a dump. This was caused by an access violation when the Operating System information could not be retrieved using WMI. This usually occurred in Windows versions lower than Windows 2008.. In cases where the OperatingSystem information could not be retrieved from the remote computer using WMI, the information was NULL and an access violation error happened when this data was retrieved. This issue has been resolved.
  • CAS-0010066285 - After installing Alignia 5 SP2, the applications under Default Web Site were inaccessible. This issue has been resolved.
  • CAS-0010062763 - Alignia gets stuck in the loading page (with the product logo) and it's impossible to navigate.
  • CAS-0010066285 - HTML Viewer does not work in Reports.
  • EventLog, LogReader and DataBase reader monitors sometimes retrieved duplicate events or lost events from Windows EventLog and data from Logs or DataBases. The problem was that ThinkServer DataSources deleted the saved pointer to the next data to be processed when ThinkServer Service was stopped. In that case, when ThinkServer started again the DataSource would start processing events from some time previously or from the current moment. In the first situation, the Datasource would re-process Events. In the second case, old data could be lost between the time the ThinkServer Service was stopped.. Deleting the DataSource pointer containing information about the next event to be processed produced both the reprocessing of or losing events in all DataSources that save information about the latest processed data. This issue has been resolved.
  • CAS-0010068187 - Excluding a Job in an iSeries device would have no effect as health of the excluded job still affected the health of the monitor. This issue has been resolved.
  • A possible deadlock scenario during the synchronization of Orchestrator has been fixed.
